Our Fees
Our aim is to provide you with a ‘crystal-clear’ charging structure so that you can see what you get for your money and can have the confidence that naturally comes with transparency. We would like you to remain with us for many years, and we trust that our personal service and clear charging will make you feel the same way.
We keep our fees low by the extensive use of the best current technology, but always with our very personal service. We charge either a fixed amount or a fixed rate depending on the work involved. The fee is always confirmed in writing before we carry out any chargeable work. We have tried to keep it all clear and simple.
Initial Investment Advice
We charge £720 for our initial recommendations and then, to implement your plan:
1.0% of the first £100,000 plus ...
0.5% of the next £100,000 plus ...
0.25% of any greater sums invested.
On-going Reviews
We offer three levels of on-going service designed to cater for differing needs.
- Foundation Plan: 0.68% of the investments under advice per annum with a minimum annual fee of £420. You may pay this fee monthly interest free.
- Investment Review Service: 0.68% of the investments under advice per annum with a minimum annual fee of £1,140. You may pay this fee monthly interest free.
- Wealth Management Service: 0.68% of the investments under advice per annum with a minimum annual fee of £2,280. You may pay this fee monthly interest free.
Our on-going advice fees are capped at £5,000 per annum for investments under advice up to £1m. Investments above £1m are charged an additional 0.25% per annum on the amount in excess of £1m.
Ad-Hoc Advice
For advice that falls outside of the scope of the above we would charge a fixed fee based on an hourly rate of £120 (calculated in 10 min segments). For example, if you needed a report on your current pension position which we felt would take us 8 hours in total we would charge you a fixed fee of £960. All ad-hoc fees are fixed, and agreed up-front, so that your commitment is clear.
Insurances
A minimum fee of £540 for advising and arranging life assurance, critical illness cover, income replacement insurance and private medical insurance. Where commissions are payable by the provider we may accept this to offset against our fee.
Mortgages and Equity Release
We charge a combination of fee and commission for these services. Please see our Mortgage and Equity Release client agreements for full details.
VAT
Our fees are currently all VAT free. This is because most of our business relates to the implementation or alteration of regulated financial products. VAT may become payable if our business mix were to significantly change or if HMRC were to change the rules!
